DRESS CODE
BALLET
Ballet uniform is specific to each level. All required leotards must be purchased through Whistler Dance Works.
Pre-primary Dance: Lilac short sleeved styled leotard with skirt, pink ballet socks or tights, pink full sole ballet slippers with elastic instep. Hair in a bun with hair net and pins.
Primary: Marine short sleeved styled leotard with skirt, pink ballet socks or tights, pink full sole ballet shoes with elastic instep. Hair in a bun with hair net and pins.
Grade 1 & 2: Purple sleeveless leotard with pink ballet tights, pink full sole ballet shoes with elastic instep. Hair in a bun with hair net and pins.
Grade 3 & 4: Navy sleeveless leotard with pink ballet tights, pink full sole ballet shoes with elastic instep or ribbons. Hair in a bun with hair net and pins.
Intermediate Foundation (Vocational Grades): Black or navy leotard with pink ballet tights, pink ballet shoes with elastic instep or ribbons. Hair in a bun with hair net and pins.
HIP-HOP & TAP
Hip-Hop: Comfortable fitted dancewear and clean indoor sneakers.
Tap: Comfortable fitted dancewear and appropriate tap shoes.
Hair: Neatly tied back and away from the face.
LYRICAL JAZZ
Clothing: Fitted yoga shorts with a fitted top or leotard.
Shoes: Tan jazz shoes or bare feet.
Hair: Tightly secured and away from the face.
COMPETITIVE
Clothing: Black fitted yoga shorts with a black sleeveless leotard or fitted black tank.
Shoes: Tan jazz shoes.
Hair: Ballet bun secured with hair net and pins.
Competition costumes will be communicated separately
ACRO
Clothing: Fitted yoga shorts with a leotard or fitted top.
Feet: Bare feet.
Hair: Tightly secured and away from the face.
